Eclectic Approach

Eclectic Approach

Seattle-based Eclectic Approach have been hard at work crafting a sound that breaks musical boundaries between pop, rock, hip-hop, soul, funk and many other styles of music. Having recorded with engineer and producer Justin Armstrong (Death Cab For Cutie, Dave Matthews) for their album Jump Into Life, Eclectic Approach have also been chosen by industry experts Bruce Tyler, Sharon Dastur, Lee Dannay, Scott Igoe and Gavin DeGraw as The OurStage Panel Season 2 grand prize winner. As Season 2 champs, Eclectic Approach received $5000, a mentoring session with industry experts, and a professionally-produced video EPK directed by Mitchell Stewart.

Matt Bailie

Matt Bailie

At just twenty-four, Matt Bailie is proving a force to be reckoned with in the Nashville music scene. He’s already opened for some of the biggest names in country including Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and .38 Special, and garnered acclaim from heavyweights the likes of John Briggs (VP of Artist Relations, ASCAP) and Donnie Van Zant (founding member 38 Special, Van Zant). Industry experts Bruce Tyler, Lee Dannay, Sharon Dastur and Jason Ienner recently named Bailie the Grand Prize Winner of Season One of The OurStage Panel.

Austin Renfroe

Austin Renfroe

Hailing from Atlanta, Austin Renfroe is a singer-songwriter on the rise. Renfroe’s long list of achievements includes performances at Macy’s Great Tree Lighting in Atlanta and NACA Nationals main stage alongside acts like Andy Grammar and Bowling for Soup, in addition to being crowned the winner of Sirius XM’s Breaks The Band. On OurStage, he was the Grand Prize winner of the Ernie Ball Pop Competition, appeared as a finalist on the Season One finale of The OurStage Panel, and won the Intel® "Superstars" Competition $10,000 Grand Prize.

Xolie Morra and the Strange Kind

Xolie Morra & The Strange Kind

"Blending classic rock sass and honest modern rock style," Seattle-based singer-songwriter Xolie Morra and her band The Strange Kind previously opened for acts like Styx and Jessica Simpson, scored a Lilith Fair 2010 performance and opening slot for HANSON through OurStage, toured with No Doubt and recorded with Brian Young (Posies, Fountains of Wayne). And, thanks to a finalist placement in the Intel® "Superstars" Competition and a Grand Prize win in the "Artist Access" Competition, 2011 proved to be another big year for Xolie and the gang on OurStage.

Amy Kuney

Amy Kuney

You may already be familiar with this budding star. Amy Kuney’s songs have been featured on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance and in the documentary-thriller Catfish, for a start. Here on OurStage, she’s a favorite with the fans and competition judges alike, landing multiple Top 10 placements in addition to winning a year’s supply of strings and accessories from Ernie Ball and an “Artist Access” mentoring session with A&R icon Rob Stevenson.

Twin Berlin

Twin Berlin

Massachusetts “no frill” indie-rockers Twin Berlin hit the scene in 2009 with an MTV nomination for Best Breakout Boston band and a coveted tour spot alongside All Time Low and The White Tie Affair. In addition to performances at the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC, the band is a regular on Comcast On Demand and Boston’s biggest indie / alternative rock station, WFNX. Most recently, Travis Barker selected the band as the Grand Prize winners of Guitar Center’s “Your Next Record with Travis Barker” Competition, and brought them to Red Bull studios in Los Angeles to record a three-song demo with him, to be distributed worldwide on TuneCore.

WYATT

Saskatoon four-piece WYATT “drives the sound of progressive country bands like Emerson Drive and Doc Walker and grounds it with the depth and groove of Tom Petty.” The band has shared the stage with Jason Aldean, GRAMMY nominees Emerson Drive and John Rich (Big & Rich) and has recorded with both Noah Gordon (Jason Blaine, Emerson Drive) and GRAMMY-nominated engineer T.W. Cargille of BIG Studios. This past summer, WYATT played the main stage at Capital Hoedown 2011 alongside Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans and Carrie Underwood after winning the “Capital Hoedown Showdown” Competition Grand Prize on OurStage.

Nikki Lynette

Nikki Lynette

This Chicago native, dubbed the “Queen of Englewood” by Lupe Fiasco, has received multiple placements on MTV (including a feature on Jersey Shore), VH1, Showtime and Fox, and has opened for heavy-hitters The Game, KRS-One, Trina and Gym Class Heroes. Lynette attributes OurStage as the catalyst for her success with music licensing, and has won multiple Grand Prize opportunities including a movie review on MTV’s nextmovie.com and a performance at the New Music Seminar in Los Angeles.

PyInfamous

PyInfamous

A rural Mississippi native, this laid back MC claimed the title of “Coldest” MC in the nation after winning the “Coors Light Search For The Coldest” Competition Grand Prize. He scored the opportunity to open for N.E.R.D. and PacDiv as well as a trip to New Orleans to perform at ESSENCE® Music Festival. Through his music, PyInfamous strives to “chronicle the strife and struggles of the South while providing a backdrop for a hopeful future.”

Brandon Green

Southern gentleman Brandon Green was a contestant on both American Idol and CMT's Can You Duet, but most recently was the winner of OurStage's "Your Next Record with Keith Urban" Competition. He's gone on to record three songs with Keith Urban and open several stops of Urban's Get Closer 2011 tour. Visit Brandon right here on OurStage.

Sleeperstar

Sleeperstar

Dallas natives, and winners of OurStage's John Mayer "Side Stage Warfare" Competition, Sleeperstar are moving and shaking in the music world. Their song "I Was Wrong" was featured in The CW show The Vampire Diaries (Episode 8, Season 2) then shot up from Number 16,413 to Number 1 for worldwide sales for a song on Tunecore in only one week!

I Fight Dragons

This chiptune rock group has been signed to Photo Finish Records/Atlantic and are represented by The Agency Group. They have toured with 3OH!3 and Cobra Starship and can be seen on OurStage here.

MeTalkPretty

This NYC Rock band has been signed to EightOFive/Fontana/Universal and are represented by The Agency Group. They have performed on the Warped Tour and at SXSW in 2008 and 2009. These Virginian rockers have signed with Ocean Park Music Group and were featured in the trailer for The Joneses starring Demi Moore and David Duchovney and on prime-time Fox Sports. Check them out right here.

This indie pop darling has been signed to Shangri-La Music and is represented by Candy Shop Management. Her music has been featured on MTV's The Buried Life and Engaged and Underaged, the CW's One Tree Hill and on a nationally airing Palm Pre commercial. NeverShoutNever!

Internet success story Christofer Drew (a.k.a NeverShoutNever!) is signed to Sire/Loveway Records/Warner Bros and is represented by the Working Group. He is scheduled to tour nationally with the 2010 Warped Tour and will showcase at SXSW 2010. Check out his OurStage profile here.

Here We Go Magic

Here We Go Magic

Brooklyn sweethearts Here We Go Magic were signed to Secretly Canadian and Western Vinyl after making an impact on the NYC indie rock scene. Selected as one of SXSW 2010's acts not to miss, the band has toured with The Walkmen and Department of Eagles. Singer Luke Temple is heralded as one of the most angelic vocalists on the scene today, receiving compliments from Ben Gibbard and Sufjan Stevens. Check them out on OurStage here.

The Hollow Sound

The Hollow Sound

Fresh faces on the pop punk scene, The Hollow Sound have played their way through the US via a showcase at CMJ Music Marathon, the 2008 Warped Tour and SXSW 2009. The band is also becoming a staple on MTV with their 2009 grand prize win in MTVU's Best Music On Campus, placement on MTV's College Life and MTV's VMA Tour. Mad Staring Eyes

Mad Staring Eyes

This London alternative punk group was signed to Retina Records after playing Glastonbury Festival back in 2005. They have since played gigs with everyone from The Fratellis to The Subways to Pete Doherty, and have recently nabbed TV placements on both Gossip Girl and the British sensation, Skins. This past year, Mad Staring Eyes won the Toronto Independent Music Award for Best International Act and were one of the select few UK bands to be invited to New York to play the prestigious CMJ Music Marathon.
